Our requirements

For any purchase or sell transaction of an amount, we have to ascertain user identification. We need a scan of a valid ID just to validate data filled by the user in the transaction forms. We keep these records safely and off-line for your further operations with the Goldtotem tool (no need to provide such documents for your next transactions).
 
Our obligations

The e-currency exchanger Goldtotem is engaged in the Money services business. Consequently Goldtotem has to follow some legislative requirements, such as the obligation to report suspicious transactions. So Goldtotem must report where there are reasonable grounds to suspect that a transaction is related to the commission of a money laundering offence or to the financing of a terrorist activity. Goldtotem shall report certains international electronic funds transfers and subjects to the related obligations too. Our company works diligently in the fight against the proceeds of crime and terrorist financing.

Every serious financial institution engaged in the business of Money Services Business (MSB) or Foreign Exchange activities, must implement a compliance regime. Goldtotem distinguishes itself from the other e-currency providers by the fact that we are fully transparent with our customers.

Your privacy protection & our commitments

- In accordance with the applicable rules, Goldtotem protects its customers against any risk of legal seizure of our data servers.
- Out of respect for our honest customers, Goldtotem reserves the right to refuse service to particular individuals or entities if the payment seems to be counterfeit, fraudulent or originated from laundering money.
- We never require from the customer to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to complete the transactions.
- We never record more information (such as cookies, IPs...) than the one given directly by our customers.
- If we require more information than usual to complete certains transactions, we will ask you about them clearly, keeping always the right to refuse and abort the operation.
- We never sell or send your personal information to a third party without your consent, except to follow our compliance regime.
- We never send data to any national fiscal authorities (about transactions respecting our compliance regime). It's up to our customers to voluntarily report the results of their trades.
- Not located in an offshore area, a customer can easily make a complaint if Goldtotem doesn't respect its legal obligations.

Your individual tax liabilities

Any applicable tax in connection with funds management is the sole responsibility of the user. We encourage everyone to fully comply with tax and reporting requirements in their country and/or state of residence. We do not provide financial advice on individual tax liabilities and are not responsible for any tax liability of the Goldtotem tool's users.
